Stephen turns... OLD! :-)

Today is my wonderful hubbies birthday. He is
29! I can't believe he is sooo old! (I turn 30 in Feb!) ;-)

He was so blessed to be able to celebrate his
birthday with his family in Las Vegas this year.
He is there for the weekend to attend his little
sister's wedding. Congrats Amanda!

Ofcourse the all time favorite is a good Risk game.

A Risk game with all the brothers! Stephen and
Denn - cheesing it up! Thanks to Jenn for the
great pictures!

Treston is 5!

I can't believe Treston is 5! We celebrated his birthday at
Chucke-Cheese. The kids had fun. We were blessed to have
family to celebrate the day with us. Thanks for all your smiles and gifts!

Judd Trail Hike!

Our first hike in about 2 months... wow! was it nice to get out again.
We took the kids on a short one to start the hiking season off easy.
These are pictures of Judd Trail. It was nice to have family along for the hike!

Aiden - He can be sooo sweet!

Aiden beats to his own drum... and he is the only person
that will decide if he is to be happy or sad. There usually is
nothing you can tell him to change his mind. So when
he is being really sweet (vs really naughty) he is such
a joy. Here he is playing so nicely with one of his cars.
We love our Aiden.

I Am a Child of God - FHE

For FHE tonight.. we did a lesson on being a Child of God.
The kids enjoyed the lesson and the songs. Then we
made little crowns for each to wear (they say I Am a Child of God.)
The kids loved being kings and queen for the night!

Painting Fun

It has been so fun to have our painting days.
I really enjoy watching the kids grow, as they get
better at controlling the brush, and using different colors.

Treston has really started using his imagination to
create different things to paint. He and Kailea do
pretty well at keeping the paints from mixing....

Aiden however is all about exploration. He wants
to know what color every possible combination makes.
How neat to see the different ways they view life!

Treston named this painting "The Weird Machine."

The Skeleton Puzzle

The kids got this awesome puzzle from their
Uncle Cash for Christmas. It has turned out to
be Treston and Kailea's favorite toy. They love
to put it together and walk around with it and
lay down to see if they are as big as it.

Hopefully they are also learning about all the bones
in the body. Great fun!

Favorite Kid Sport - Wrestling with Dad!!!

Kailea Sue is really starting to get into the wrestling...
it makes it hard for dad. She is so little compared to
the boys! She thinks it is a blast though!

This is the usual scene when dad comes home from
work... I think Stephen enjoys it too!

I am amazed at how hard the boys are starting to
hit - running into each other as they wrestle.
Broken bones are sure to come!!! aaaaa!

Our Primary Needs Your Help!

Calling all creative music people!!!
Please send on any fun ideas to teach music. We do not have a piano player or chorister... and will not be getting one any time soon. So, my Primary President and I will be attempting to get more music in Primary this year. But, neither one of us are very talented in music. Please help us! Your input would be MUCH appreciated! :-)

Blasting Off!

It has been a while since I have had the chance to sit down and write... so I thought I could share a fun blasting off experience we had the other day. It has been a great couple of weeks. Stephen has been home more than 50% of the time. (Which is good, he will be leaving in March for 6-8 months!!! Ugh) Anyway, we have definitely enjoyed the time. Stephen and I did not have much of a Christmas this year... so when one of Stephen's presents did not come in on time... I was pretty sad. But, hey late Christmas presents are even better! Stephen's Estes Rockets came in on Wednesday. The boys were so excited when he opened them. So, of course no time was wasted in putting them together! On Thursday we went to the park to shoot off Dad's rockets! Too much fun. I haven't done that since high school. It was a blast to run and try to catch the rockets before they fell. Stephen and I had many races (I only won one!) I did take my camera... but in all the excitement, forgot to ever take it out of my bag. No pics. But it was a very fun family outing. I sure love my hubby!
